Travel Grants for the 8th World Conference on Research Integrity

Ottawa, ON, November 3, 2023

As part of the Secretariat on Responsible Conduct of Research’s efforts to promote responsible conduct of research (RCR), it is pleased to launch its Travel Grant initiative to promote Canadian attendance at the 8th World Conference on Research Integrity (8WCRI) in Athens, Greece, from June 2-5, 2024.

This Travel Grant initiative will provide researchers, faculty, graduate students and administrators from Canadian institutions with an opportunity to learn more about RCR from an international perspective and engage with leading RCR practitioners from around the world.

Attendees will be expected to disseminate knowledge learned at the Conference to students, faculty and staff at their institutions.

The Travel Grant initiative will offer a maximum of 12 applicants financial assistance to attend the Conference. The Travel Grants will assist with the costs of conference registration, round trip air fare (economy class), and accommodation (single occupancy), up to a maximum of $3,750 (CAD).

Priority will be given to applicants or institutions that have not previously received a WCRI travel grant from the Secretariat.

If you would like more details about the Travel Grant initiative for the 8WCRI, please visit the following link for the Application Criteria and Procedures.

The Secretariat has sent a notification of this opportunity to the designated RCR contacts at all eligible institutions.

The Secretariat is dedicating the 2024 Travel Grants in honor of the late Susan Zimmerman – former Executive Director of the Secretariat on Responsible Conduct of Research, member of the governing board of the World Conferences on Research Integrity Foundation and champion for the responsible conduct of research in Canada and abroad.
