New service – new interpretations
The Secretariat on Responsible Conduct of Research (SRCR) provides a popular interpretation service on the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS 2). Questions posed by the research community are answered online, based on the advice of the Panel on Research Ethics (PRE). Now, SRCR is pleased to offer a similar interpretation service on the Tri-Agency Framework: Responsible Conduct Of Research (RCR Framework), based on the advice of the Panel on Responsible Conduct of Research (PRCR).

RCR Framework interpretations now available
PRCR has posted its first two interpretations, which focus on the definition of “breach” and on the distinction between an inquiry and an investigation.

New TCPS 2 interpretation posted
This new interpretation addresses the obligation of institutions to support researchers in maintaining promises of confidentiality.
