Travel Grant for the 5th World Conference on Research Integrity

For immediate release –

Ottawa, ON (November 10, 2016)

As part of the Secretariat’s efforts to promote responsible conduct of research (RCR), we are pleased to launch a Travel Grant to promote Canadian attendance at the 5th World Conference on Research Integrity (5th WCRI) in Amsterdam, Netherlands from May 28 to 31, 2017.

This Travel Grant, similar to the one offered in connection with the 4th WCRI, will provide researchers, faculty, graduate students and institutional administrators from Canadian institutions with an opportunity to learn more about RCR from an international perspective and engage leading RCR practitioners from around the world.

Attendees will be expected to pass on knowledge learned at the Conference to students, faculty and staff at their institutions.

The Travel Grant will offer a maximum of 15 applicants with financial assistance to attend the Conference (maximum award of $2,500.00). The Travel Grant will assist with the costs of round trip air fare and accommodations.

Priority will be given to institutions that were not represented at the 4th WCRI.

  • Application deadline: January 9, 2017
  • Communication of funding decisions: by February 3, 2017
  • Early bird registration deadline for the Conference: March 1, 2017

If you are interested in RCR and would like more details about the Travel Grant, visit the application and evaluation criteria and procedures.

The Secretariat has sent a notification of this opportunity to the designated RCR contacts at all eligible institutions.
